#622 -- 20' Tool Car, 2-pack (On30)

It's time to go working on the railroad!  The Tool Car (here) and Office Car (listed separately) are just the ticket for maintenance-of-way service on your line.  Use them in a plow train, wreck train or as camp cars.  We've designated them as "Tool" or "Office" cars, but you can assign them to any duty required ... or set them "in the weeds" as lineside structures!  (This kit builds TWO tool cars.)

Kit features free-standing grab-irons, ladder rungs and roofwalks to provide great 3-D and shadow effects ... plus truss rods, brakewheel, foot stirrups and more. 

• This car is also available in a single-car pack.
• Perfect intermediate size!  20' long x 7' wide scale.  Hefty proportions with the "hunkered down" look already built in.  These cars mix well with larger and small car types. 
• 12" minimum radius with smooth track; 15" radius suggested.
• Trucks and couplers sold separately:  We suggest BVM T-2 trucks with Kadee #5 couplers as shown.  If you prefer larger wheels, use BVM T-1 trucks with Kadee #42 couplers.
• Kit requires assembly!  You'll need paint, glue (ACC or 5-minute epoxy) and basic modeling tools.
